Meagan McGahan is one of Brisbane’s leading speech pathologists, providing the latest evidence-based treatments for adults with acquired communication and swallowing difficulties. While other practitioners in Brisbane work mainly with children and teenagers, Meagan specialises in working with adults. Meagan is highly experienced, with more than 30 years of clinical practice diagnosing and treating adults, working in acute and rehabilitation settings in all the major public hospitals in Brisbane.

Considered a specialist in her field, Meagan has also worked in London. She has also been involved in training speech pathologists in both private and public hospitals to achieve clinical competence for VFSS assessments.

For more than 20 years, Meagan has been running her private practice as well as regular assessments at Swallow Clinic, Queensland X-ray at St Vincent’s Hospital Kangaroo Point and Greenslopes Private Hospital. She is dedicated to providing local and accessible treatment and so is enthusiastic about using the latest in telehealth technology to help create bespoke therapy programmes and enable her clients to monitor their progress at home or other location of their choice.

Meagan is licensed to use the specific programmes to improve volume and speech clarity for people with Parkinson’s disease and other neurological conditions.

Meagan is a certified member of Speech Pathology Australia (SPA), an International Affiliate Member of the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) and special interest groups.
